2013 Panini Certified Football arrives with a revamped look but sticks with what has made it a perennial brand. Hobby boxes deliver a total of four hits, including at least one autograph.

The base set once again takes a minimalist approach, letting the foil card stock garner much of the attention. Player photos are cast against a gray back. Multiple levels of Mirror parallel return. The colorful combinations include Red, Blue, Gold, Emerald and Black. All are numbered, none higher than 250. Every eight-box inner case has one hot box that comes with Platinum parallels instead of base cards.

Freshman Fabrics come with a new, modern design. The cards, which include an autograph and memorabilia swatches, focus on 2013 rookie standouts.

Expanding from the John Elway Collection that was in last year's set comes a pair of memorabilia sets focused on a couple of recent legends: Barry Sanders and Emmitt Smith. These cards come with some extremely large swatches. Fabric of the Game, long a Certified staple, return as well, delivering even more memorabilia.
